Dorothy Aglukkaq of Arviat, who has distinguished herself through her tireless efforts to promote Inuktut by volunteering and sharing her experiences and knowledge through community radio.

Julia Ogina of Iqaluktuuttiaq (Cambridge Bay), who as a program co-ordinator at the Kitikmeot Inuit Association, has been a leader in developing a language framework for the Qitirmiut/Kitikmeot region and a wide array of language revitalization programs for different target groups.
